other和the other的區別：

　　一、other可作形容詞或代詞，做形容詞時(shí)，意思是“別的，其他”，泛指“其他的(人或物)。The other指兩個(gè)人或物中的一個(gè)時(shí)，只能用the other，不能用other，此時(shí)的other作代詞。

　　例句：

　　Do you have any other question(s)?

　　你還有其他問(wèn)題嗎?

　　He has two daughters. One is a nurse, the other is aworker。

　　他有兩個(gè)女兒，一個(gè)是護士，另一個(gè)是工人。

　　二、The other后可加單數名詞，也可加復數名詞，此時(shí)的other作形容詞。

　　例句：

　　Onthe other side of the street，there is a tall tree。

　　在街道的另一邊，有一棵大樹(shù)。

　　Mary is much taller than the other girls。

　　瑪麗比其他的女孩高得多。
