　　創(chuàng )作背景：

　　關(guān)于《蜀道難》的創(chuàng )作背景，從唐代開(kāi)始人們就多有猜測，學(xué)界主要有四種說(shuō)法：甲、此詩(shī)系為房琯、杜甫二人擔憂(yōu)，希望他們早日離開(kāi)四川，免遭劍南節度使嚴武的毒手；乙、此詩(shī)是為躲避安史之亂逃亡至蜀的唐玄宗李隆基而作，勸喻他歸返長(cháng)安，以免受四川地方軍閥挾制；丙、此詩(shī)旨在諷刺當時(shí)蜀地長(cháng)官章仇兼瓊想憑險割據，不聽(tīng)朝廷節制；丁，此詩(shī)純粹歌詠山水風(fēng)光，并無(wú)寓意。

　　這首詩(shī)最早見(jiàn)錄于唐人殷璠所編的《河岳英靈集》，該書(shū)編成于唐玄宗天寶十二載（753），由此可知李白這首詩(shī)的寫(xiě)作年代最遲也應該在《河岳英靈集》編成之前。而那時(shí)，安史之亂尚未發(fā)生，唐玄宗安居長(cháng)安，房琯、杜甫也都還未入川，所以，甲、乙兩說(shuō)顯然錯誤。至于諷刺章仇兼瓊的說(shuō)法，從一些史書(shū)的有關(guān)記載來(lái)看，也缺乏依據。章仇兼瓊鎮蜀時(shí)一直想去長(cháng)安做官。相對而言，還是最后一種說(shuō)法比較客觀(guān)，接近于作品實(shí)際。

　　唐孟棨《本事詩(shī)》及五代王定�！短妻�言》均有賀知章在太子賓客任上讀到此詩(shī)的記載，據此，則李白此詩(shī)當作于天寶元年（742）奉詔入京供奉翰林之時(shí)。這可能是一首贈友詩(shī)。詹锳認為此詩(shī)是李白天寶年間在長(cháng)安時(shí)為送友人王炎入蜀而寫(xiě)的，目的是規勸王炎不要羈留蜀地，早日回歸長(cháng)安，避免遭到嫉妒小人不測之手；也有學(xué)者認為此詩(shī)是開(kāi)元年間李白初入長(cháng)安無(wú)成而歸時(shí)，送友人寄意之作。
